PCSST LION BATTALION
Welcome to the PCSST, JROTC Lion Battalion
On Saturday March 8th the PCSST JROTC freshman and advanced Academic teams both competed in the 2nd Brigade Academic bowl with admirable results. Under the guidance of our SAI, LTC (R) Mike Hodges, we managed to study and prepare for the competition by using binders provided to us. These binders will also be given to future members of the Academic and Leadership teams so that they can also prepare for events. Moreover thanks to these binders and the hard work that both teams put in to prepare for the Academic resulted in the first trophy that the Academic team has one, placing third in the advanced team bracket. Our freshman team also brought back good results despite it being their first academic event, they managed to place third best in overall score over all other freshman teams. This is a major push forward over our previous years and also what seems to be a good possibility of future successes. -C/CPT. Castro

After weeks of hard training the PCSST JROTC Raider Team showed off their skills in the South Mountain Reservation Raider Challenge hosted by Seton Hall. Cadets woke up bright and early to compete in various events including a Raider Gauntlet, 3K run, and a one rope bridge. Having displayed an exceptional effort all three teams came back home with a trophy as a testament to how hard the Raider team has worked practicing for this and other events. The male team brought back a trophy for placing 3rd in the Cross Country Rescue, the mixed team brought back a trophies for placing 1st in the1 Rope Bridge event and third overall best , and the female team brought back a trophy for placing third fort the 3K run. With all the hard work and dedication that the team has put in we can expect many more trophies by the end of the year as well as an even better outlook for next year. -C/CPT. Castro
